My main base is in mid-Wales and I divide my time between doing freelance work, teaching photography, and working on personal projects. I have been working as a part–time project worker for Photoworks Westminster since 2000, running photography projects for disadvantaged sections of the community.

2006 Westminster Connections SW1 Gallery
5 photographers were commissioned by Land Securities to photograph people in the community for an inaugural exhibition.

2006 Paddington Pinholes Curzon Soho
This was an experimental pinhole camera project funded by City of Westminster Arts Council. Training money provided by Arts Connection enabled me to do work in Phototshop to produce 6 large scale images.

1995 – 2005 Lake Vyrnwy Sculpture Park
Every September an International Sculpture Symposium was held at Lake Vyrnwy, which I documented commissioned by Severn Trent Water.

2000 Shuvalova St Petersburg Travel Bursary
This was an exchange visit, funded by the Arts Council of Wales, for 3 artists to spend some time and work with some of the artists who came to Wales.

1996 – 2001 Final Focus (Family Album Book & Exhibition)
This is a personal project looking at family history and exploring feelings around the death of a parent as a child. Exhibited at the Hereford Photography Festival (1996) & Oriel 31 (2001) as part of Elegy Touring Exhibition.

1998 Cuba Travel Bursary (Photo-diaries & Documentary Project)
Through contacts made at Wolverhampton University I set up a community based project, linking children in Wales, Wolverhampton and Cuba, by organising them to put together photo-diaries of their lives. During the 5 weeks I spent staying with Cuban friends I also did a documentary project of impressions of Cuban life. This work & the Photodiaries were exhibited at Wolverhampton University.

1995 Mencap Trackside Charcoal Project
With the help of a BT Environmental Award this project documented the process of charcoal making with people from Mencap & their support workers. Exhibited at the Hereford Photography Festival, the V&A Museum in London and the Museum of Film & Photography in Bradford.

1995 Multiple Sclerosis Project Royal Shrewsbury Hospital
Collaborative project working with people with MS to heighten awareness of issues & difficulties for people with MS and their carers.

1995 Photographic Research for Centenary of Poet & Author Robert Graves
This involved researching photographic material, and printing it up for an exhibition at Sa Llonja in Palma Mallorca.

1994 Gum Bichromate & Cyanotype Experiments
Experimenting with alternative historical printing processes resulted in exhibiting some of the results, and running workshops on both processes. I also put together a teaching pack on Cyanotyes as part of my City & Guilds 7307 Teachers Training Course.
