Helen Young
I currently work as a freelance drama and movement workshop facilitator. I have and continue to deliver projects for Border Dance, The Arts Council of England, Sure Start and local authorities in and around Shrewsbury, Powys and Telford. My work aims to encourage young people, children and people with learning difficulties to have the opportunity to be involved in drama and movement workshops, which lead to a performance or small sharing at the end of each project.
I have also established over the past 5 years a workshop company, which delivers 3 separate workshops with children from 2 - 12 years and adults with learning difficulties on Saturdays. The workshops are now based at Sundorne Senior School, Shrewsbury (but run independently). The workshops produce 3 performance a year to family members and friends. The aims of the workshops are to encourage confidence, co-ordination and participation within the arts. I also facilitate 3 more performance groups in Mid Wales.
Training
I currently hold a H.n.d. in Performing Arts (2002 S.c.a.t.) OCN Level 3 in Pre School Dance (Powys Dance 2005) and 180 credits Rose Bruford College, Kent in Theatre Studies. I have also trained with Blue Eyed Soul Dance Company in Shrewsbury through a project working in collaboration with a disabled artists from which we toured an integrated dance project in Mid Wales.

Double H Creative Movement & Drama is a workshop company that recognizes the benefits Drama and Movement provide to children, young people and adults with learning difficulties.
Our workshops are energetic, creatively structured and involve all in the devising process.
Double H promotes the development of co-ordination, concentration and individual creativity throughout their workshops.
