Permissions
All people being photographed must give their consent to
having their photo taken entered into the competition. Please
don’t enter of photo of somebody who doesn’t
like having their photo taken!
Copyright
Copyright of the entries should belong to you (i.e. you
took the photo). You keep all copyright on the photos but
allow Arts Connection, the Environment Agency and the Llanfyllin
Civic Society to use the photo free of charge to publicise
their organisation and the competition (full reference to
the photographer will be given in each instance the photo
is used). Photos may also be used free of charge by the
Environmental Agency to produce a calendar.
Exhibition
The photos will be exhibited at the Public Institute Llanfyllin
and maybe at the Youth & Community centre, Llanfyllin.
Removal of Entry
We reserve the right to remove an photograph if it breaches
any of the items in these Terms & Conditions or if the
photo is not taken with the Afon Cain Valley
Liability
While Arts Connection, the Environment Agency and the Llanfyllin
Civic Society will make every effort to take excellent care
of all the works entered into the competition, we cannot
return images once they have been sent and cannot be held
liable for any loss or damage to works entered. So please
don’t send the only copy of the photo – keep
a master!
Deadline
The competition closes July 31st 2008. Entries received
after this date will not be considered for prizes but may
be exhibited.
Judging
The decisions of the judges are final. No correspondence
will be entered into.

Code
When
visiting the countryside and taking photographs always follow
the Countryside Code:-
Respect - Protect
- Enjoy
Be Safe - plan
ahead and follow any signs
Leave gates and
property as you find them
Protect plants
and animals, and take your litter home
Keep dogs under
close control
Consider other
people
“Follow the Countryside Code wherever you go. You
will get the best out of the countryside and help to maintain
it now and for the future.”
Always follow
public rights of way or ask the landowners permission before
accessing private property.
