Currently
Arts Connection stage three large scale core projects and numerous
smaller or individual projects each year. These projects are developed
continually on the basis of thorough monitoring and evaluation.

Our
core projects are:
Celebration
of Children's Creativity ~ taking place
in primary schools across North Powys and offering groups of children
the opportunity to work with a professional artist for a number
of sessions at a subsidised rate and in a range of exciting mediums.
This project provides around 3000 participation places each year.
Powys
Youth Music Project ~
creates opportunities for young people across North Powys to work
with professional musicians in a range of styles and using a range
of instruments provided by us. The project culminates in a final
event at a North Powys Theatre, bringing young people from all
participating centres together to share their musical creations.
We work in partnership with Powys Youth Service on this project.
Arts
Extravaganza ~ offers visual arts, music,
dance and drama workshops for people with learning disabilities.
The summer workshops, based in Llanfyllin, culminate in a final
celebration for an invited audience. Arts Extravaganza also runs
in either North Powys locations in the Autumn and Spring.
In
addition to our core projects, Arts Connection organise arts activities
regularly with:

Alyn Housing Association for the Oldford Estate in Welshpool.
Powys
County Council Community Development Officer for Adult Education
and Welsh Language Events.
Powys
Youth Service
Each
year we also co-ordinate and fund numerous one off arts projects
as a result of community request.
